Dr. Navin Kumar is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru. He holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Porto, Aveiro, and Minho (Portugal) and an M.Tech from MNNIT Allahabad.

With over 24 years of experience across academia, industry, and government—including 10+ years overseas—he has authored 100+ publications in international journals and IEEE conferences, along with books and book chapters. He is a recipient of the Fraunhofer Challenge Award (EU) and multiple best paper awards.

Dr. Navin is a Fellow and senior member of several professional bodies, including IEEE. He has guided multiple Ph.D. scholars and is actively involved in 5G research, particularly in areas such as mmWave, Massive MIMO, IoT, and smart cities. He also contributes to global standardization efforts through the 5G India Forum and ITU, and holds leadership roles in IEEE Bangalore Section and IEEE VTS Bangalore.
